STEP, Inc. – Clinton County
STEP's mission is to engage diverse individuals, families, and communities in the pursuit of social and economic success.
STEP's vision is to be a positive community and economic force, recognized as a leader in the services we provide or through the navigation of services provided by our community partners.
Incorporated in 1966, the Lycoming-Clinton Counties Commission for Community Action (STEP), Inc. is a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency. STEP stands for "Success Through Engagement and Partnership," which is achieved in two ways. First, STEP’s programs engage individuals, families, and communities in their own strategies for success - the customers become involved directly, and truly own their achievements. Secondly, because no single organization can do it all, success is achieved through partnerships with complementary groups and entities that can also assist these individuals, families, and communities.
Diversity Statement
STEP strives to create a culture of diversity in age, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, and perspective. This has proven to create an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work.
It is the right thing to do. And, because it is the right thing to do…
STEP believes as a Community Action Agency we are a powerful platform for social change and equity for all.
STEP is committed to and accountable for a culture where all customers and staff are welcomed. Where everyone is respected, valued, celebrated, and safe despite perceived differences.
STEP will use our community presence to educate and model inclusiveness through the fulfilment of our mission and vision.
