Summer Employment with Juniper Village

Juniper Village is excited to offer summer employment opportunities for high school students interested in gaining valuable experience in the elder care industry. These positions provide hands-on learning, skill development, and the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of our residents.
Available Positions:
1. Personal Care Aide (PCA):
o Responsibilities: Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and support to enhance their quality of life.
o Qualifications: Compassionate, attentive, and patient. Training will be provided.
o Skills Gained: Communication, caregiving, and interpersonal skills.
2. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):
o Responsibilities: Support nursing staff with medical and personal care tasks, monitor vital signs, and ensure resident safety and comfort.
o Qualifications: Must have or be willing to obtain CNA certification. Detail-oriented and caring.
o Skills Gained: Clinical skills, teamwork, and patient care techniques.
3. Food Services:
o Responsibilities: Assist with meal preparation, serving food to residents, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining areas.
o Qualifications: Reliable, friendly, and able to follow instructions. No prior experience required.
o Skills Gained: Food handling, customer service, and organizational skills.
4. Maintenance:
o Responsibilities: Help with general maintenance tasks such as repairs, painting, and upkeep of the facility.
o Qualifications: Handy, responsible, and willing to learn. Basic knowledge of tools and equipment is a plus.
o Skills Gained: Problem-solving, technical skills, and attention to detail.
5. Grounds Crew:
o Responsibilities: Maintain the exterior grounds of Juniper Village, including landscaping, gardening, and outdoor facility care.
o Qualifications: Enjoy working outdoors, physically fit, and able to use landscaping tools.
o Skills Gained: Horticulture, teamwork, and time management.
