
HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR (UNPAID)Student will be overseen by the Service Manager unless otherwise designated.
OBJECTIVE: To promote the career path of Ag and Turf Service Technicians in order to fulfill our workforce needs.
WHO: High school juniors (with special allowances for seniors). Must be a minimum of 16 years old.
WHEN: At the discretion of the school, example timeline: 3 weeks, 4 days per week, 2 hours per day.
Program Example:
WEEK 1 – SET-UP & TURF SERVICEWork with Set-Up & Turf Technicians to assist in learning the basics of maintenance, repair, and assembly.
- Observe and assist with equipment assembly and preparation
- Observe and assist with lawn & garden equipment maintenance and repair
WEEK 2 – AG SERVICEWork with Ag Technicians learning the basics of maintenance and repair.
- Observe and assist with agricultural equipment maintenance and repair
WEEK 3 – AG SERVICE & PARTSWork with Parts professionals and continue to work with Ag Technicians.
- Observe and assist Parts Expeditor to learn the coordination of parts between the parts and service departments
- Observe and assist with agricultural equipment maintenance and repair
