The teacher and class will begin their visit at the training facility, located across the street from the quarry. There the Plant Leader/Tour Guide, Ben Brumbaugh, will conduct a brief orientation using a PowerPoint presentation that outlines the planned route.

Following the review, the group will board the bus and travel directly to the pit. Students will spend 25 minutes  exploring this area, followed by a Q&A session.

The tour continues via bus to the Aggregate Plant, where a stop will be made at the wash plant for a second Q&A opportunity. Finally, the group will view the Maintenance Shop, Asphalt Plant and Tank farm before concluding the trip.

The full tour is scheduled to take about an hour and a half.
