Local 520 – Plumbers, Pipefitters, and HVACR

We are dedicated to preparing a highly skilled and certified workforce for the building trades, specializing in plumbing, pipefitting, and HVACR services. Through comprehensive training and real-world experience, we equip our members with the knowledge and expertise needed for successful careers. For more than 100 years, the Plumbers, Pipefitters, and HVACR Technicians of Local Union 520 have proudly served Central Pennsylvania. Our members have been part of building the communities where we live, work, and learn-constructing military bases, hospitals, power plants, factories, and schools, including landmarks like Penn State University, Hershey Chocolate, Three Mile Island, and Indiantown Gap National Guard Base.

Today, we are leaders in designing, building, and maintaining advanced piping systems of all kinds. From pharmaceutical plants to food processing facilities, from energy production to healthcare, our skilled tradespeople support industries that keep Central Pennsylvania strong. Companies such as Harley Davidson, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Penn State Health, Pinnacle Health, Franklin Marshall College, Tyco, Susquehanna Health Services, Wegman's Groceries, and many more rely on our expertise.

We believe in education that combines classroom learning with hands-on experience. Apprentices train to become certified professionals, while journeymen continue upgrading their skills to keep pace with 21st century technology.
