Lewistown Manufacturing offers students the opportunity to participate in a hands-on job shadow experience designed to introduce them to careers in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing. During the job shadow, students will observe the process of transforming raw metal into finished products, including grinding, fitting materials into jigs, and welding. Participants will have the chance to see equipment like plasma cutters in action, ask questions, and learn directly from experienced workers about daily tasks, required skills, and career pathways. This experience is a great way to explore the skilled trades and see what a future in manufacturing could look like.
