For our under 18 high school friends, GBS offers the paid position of “Center Assistant” (CA).
The CA assists the therapists throughout the day with various activities such as preparing materials, filing paperwork, assisting during play, clean up after activities, and what ever is needed to assist GBS Therapists in completing their job.
The CA position is a highly valued position at each Center (Northumberland, Williamsport, Lock Haven) as the therapists rely on the CA to provide additional supports throughout the day.
Hours are flexible, our clients are on site from 9-2, the center assistant typically comes 2-5 days a week, 9:30-1, 2, or 3 depending on the hours the student has available and the needs of the center.
Center Assistants do not do direct therapy per IBHS regulations.
GBS provides 1:1 intensive therapy to young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ages 2-5y.
